Dallas RE Firm Banking on Medical Tenants

There is a boom in medical building tenants. In fact, Dallas-based commercial real estate firm GVA Cawley said recently that it is expanding its three-year-old healthcare division to take advantage of increased demand in that sector.

David Dees has been named as a director of the healthcare division, GVA Cawley Healthcare Real Estate Advisory Group, in its medical landlord services department. Dees plans to secure more medical real estate business for GVA Cawley.

The healthcare division is currently working on a new medical facility in Frisco and medical office developments in Frisco, Mansfield, and North Richland Hills, Texas.

GVA Cawley commercial real estate experts predict that because healthcare is one of the only industries continuing to build right now, there will be a demand for 19 million square feet of healthcare-related space nationwide in the next few years, and 50 to 60 million square feet over the long term. The firm also plans to market properties in Dallas to potential new medical tenants.
